Welcome to the website of Walker Larson
Journalist, essayist, and novelist

Greetings.
I'm a writer dedicated to pursuing the good, the true, and the beautiful in a spirit of wonder and faith.
I've written on a wide range of topics, with a focus on cultural issues. Areas of interest include: literature, history, family life, education, philosophy, art, music, film, homesteading, politics, fiction, AI, the role of technology, sports, and the natural world. I'm especially concerned with the question of how to bring about a cultural renewal that is rooted in tradition but also cognizant of the times we live in and the need to integrate the past with the present.
I hold an MA in English literature, and my writing has appeared in The Epoch Times, The Hemingway Review, The Federalist, Intellectual Takeout, LifeSite News, The Daily Caller, American Thinker, The International Business Times, The American Spectator, American Essence, Catholic Match, Students for Life, One Peter Five, Crisis Magazine, the Mises Institute, The Remnant, Human Life International, The St. Austin Review, Satori, and the Albertus Magnus Institute.
I've been interviewed on the radio shows Steel on Steel and A Catholic Take, the podcast Orthodoxy, and the TV station NTD Television.
I also run a Substack on literature and practical steps for restoring culture, here:
I've self-published two novels and a novella. Check them out here:
I happily reside in the beautiful state of Wisconsin with my wife and daughter. When not writing, I play guitar, fly fish, hit the basketball court, spend time with family and friends, and read.
"People who get too far from fundamental things, from ploughing and reaping and rearing children, lose something that is never restored by any progress or civilization."
—G. K. Chesterton
